Papua New Guinea is serviced Internationally by the national carrier Air Niugini (which has a code share arrangement with Qantas). Air Niugini has direct flights into Papua New Guinea from Australia, Japan, Singapore and The Philippines.

  All International flights arrive at Jacksons International Airport, Port Moresby. From Port Moresby, the rest of the country is serviced by air only, i.e. no road or rail systems linking Port Moresby to other centres.

Madang is a 1-hour flight from Port Moresby serviced by Air Niugini with daily connections. Madang has no bus or taxi services from the airport, however most hotels provide free airport transfers.
