Aquaventures PNG is located within the grounds of Jais Aben Resort and was established in 1999 by joining two existing dive centres, Jais Aben and Madang Aquaventures. Through joining two existing facilities, we believe we are able to cater to all aspects of your dive experience.

Aquaventures offers services ranging from dive instruction, equipment hire and servicing, retail sales, daily dive trips and live aboard adventures. All with a level of local knowledge which ensures you to the best that Madang has to offer.

Aquaventures PNG is managed by expatriate Australians Tim Rowland & Lesley Schoon, together with a local staff of 10. The local staff of the dive shop is all from the surrounding area and they bring that level of local knowledge to your diving experience. All speak several languages including English and have that warm friendly manner typical of their Melanesian way of life.

Aquaventures also employs a Japanese Instructor who brings to the dive shop many years experience working in Micronesia and now PNG.

Nozaki and Tim

Tim has spent many years of his life in PNG and began diving as a teenager while living in the Solomon Islands. He has spent most of his adult life working within the dive industry throughout the Asia Pacific region. Tim is currently PNG's only PADI sanctioned Course Director and he has overseen Aquaventures PNG become the only PADI Gold Palm Instructor Development Centre in PNG.
